Here Are The 6 Most Impressive Fashion Show Screens

Fashion show screens are there to dazzle and mesmerize. Digital technology makes the spectacle more engaging and can help elevate the catwalk. And fashion houses do love experimenting with the looks of the fashion show screens bringing mind-blowing shapes and memorable visuals. Here are the most impressive fashion show screen examples.

1. Balenciaga – Fall-Winter 2024 Collection

Why: Balenciaga goes for epic in this stunning fashion show screen extravaganza. The luxury fashion house transforms the runway into a world of its own with the help of digital displays for the Paris Fashion Week show. Basically, the screens form the runway and lead serve as a spectacular background to the models.

The brand deployed wraparound video walls, runway LED, and even ceiling displays to make the captivating point. But that wasn’t everything. True to times, Balenciaga turned to artificial intelligence capabilities to generate nature-inspired background visuals. We saw landscapes reminiscent of Iceland, Greenland, Montana, the Sahara Desert, and the Scottish Highlands.

This application of LED screens for fashion shows is definitely among the most spellbinding in recent years. The displays didn’t interrupt the fashion item showcase and served as a beautiful backdrop to what Balenciaga wanted to present.

2. LG – Stretchable displays at Seoul Fashion Week

Why: 2025 S/S Seoul Fashion Week has gone full digital signage mode on its runways. But there was something unique there too. LG presented the stretchable displays. Yes, you’re reading that right. There were 100ppi, 12 inches to 14 inches, free-form fashion show screens that models “wore.” And this is what you call an innovation in fashion. It’s hard to tell if this technology will catch on, but it’s definitely something to remember.

The stretchable displays weren’t the only examples of fashion show screens at Seoul Fashion Week. LG also deployed two big video walls to accompany the runway shows. They were programmed to broadcast stunning content and looked fantastic in the process.

3. Balmain – SS21 Runway, Kids & Screens

Why: here’s one original way to use fashion show screens. Balmain utilizes TV displays to “teleport” spectators to its SS21 runway. But to understand the reasoning behind such a move, it’s important to look at the year.

2021 was the height of the coronavirus pandemic and brands were looking for creative ways to react to Covid limitations. Balmain chose screens to make an original workaround for the fact that many celebrities couldn’t travel to its Paris Fashion Week show. So the brand decided to get them there via screen technology. That’s how the likes of Anna Wintour, Kris Jenner, Cara Delevingne, and Megan Thee Stallion could make it.

“As my team and I worked out how we could reimagine Paris Fashion Week, we kept focusing on how we were going to seat our far-away friends in tonight’s show,” said designer Olivier Rousteing about the initiative at the time. “If our friends can’t be physically here to share this with us, we thank LG for bringing the audience to life.”

4. Balenciaga – Winter 20 Collection

Why: Balenciaga is in a league of its own when it comes to runway shows. The Winter 20 collection kick-off was among the most dramatic fashion show screen presentations ever. The brand shook Paris Fashion Week with a predominantly black collection and a stark message on climate change. And digital signage was used to the full force to bring the bold vision to life.

Models walked on the flooded runway with three front rows empty. The water reflected the gigantic ceiling LED video wall. It showed stunning visualizations of natural occurrences like storms, thunder, fire, and rain. BFRND’s thunderous soundtrack was a fitting accompaniment to the spectacle.

It was a daring, transformative runway experience and one of the most impressive applications of digital signage in fashion.

5. Amsterdam Fashion Week hologram show

Why: we wrote a lot about the holograms in music and advertising. But there’s another rising star in this exciting futuristic technology: the fashion hologram. Amsterdam Fashion Week 2024 showed how it’s done in practice.

Dutch companies Future Front Row and Talarico helped orchestrate the awe-inspiring runway show without real models. Nine digital fashion houses including DressX, The Fabricant, and Code Couture presented their collections “employing” the six-and-a-half foot-tall avatars. And digital signage technology enabled this Blade Runner-like experience; a translucent screen and six projectors were used to create the hologram show.

While holographic fashion is still in its initial phase, examples like that prove that it has a bright future and offers a lot of creativity to designers and brands.

6. Louis Vuitton – Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 Show by Pharrell Williams in Hong Kong

Why: sometimes fashion show screens shouldn’t take all the attention to make a point. Louis Vuitton under Pharrell Williams went for this approach for the Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 Show in Hong Kong. The outdoor runway set had a beachy vibe, the sandy catwalk, and a digital part that emulated a wavy ocean. It was a tasteful detail that didn’t overdo the concept and organically played into the general vision.

The screen wasn’t the only piece of high-tech during that Hong Kong show. LV also deployed a swarm of drones to spell out the LVERS logo and light up the night.
